Thunderbolt Fantasy and Requiem for the Phantom are the best TV series in history. Thunderbolt Fantasy and Song of Saya are the best fantasy stories in the history of art. Very few works of art can compete with these genius masterpieces by Gen Urobuchi. Examples include some of Adam Darski’s later songs (“Sowing Salt,” “The Shit Ov God,” “The Deathless Sun,” “Rom 5:8,” and “Messe Noire”), Philip Glass’s 1989 album Solo Piano, Hermann Hesse’s The Glass Bead Game, the first two parts of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s film autobiography (The Dance of Reality and Endless Poetry), and some of Vladimir Sorokin’s later books (Day of the Oprichnik, The Sugar Kremlin, Telluria, Manaraga, and Fairy Tale).
